Retrinal contains Retinaldehyde, a patented advanced form of Retinal and the direct precursor to prescription-strength Retinoic Acid. Think of Retrinal as a just stronger than traditional over-the-counter Retinal, but not quite as strong as Retinoic Acid. Being on the stronger side of the vitamin A family, if you are new to retinals you are advised to start with the lower dose Retrinal 0.05 and later increase dosage to 0.1 as needed.

As a suppliment to your new or existing retinal or retrinal regimen, Avene offers a spot-wrinkle treatment to be used in tandem with and over top of your retinal: Retrinal H.A.F. Just apply to deep lines and wrinkles after retrinal application in a patting motion.
