The BABOR-exclusive bi-phase cleansing system is based on precious, pure natural oils and cool, clear water has a unique deep-cleansing effect.

The natural cleansing action of oil & water was discovered and combined by Dr. Michael Babor almost 50 years ago. He invented the hydrophilic (meaning water-loving) oil and patented it under the name: HY-ÖL®.

Phase 1 Skin loves oil.
Apply BABOR HY-ÖL® (without wetting your face first) to the skin to cleanse it gently and deeply and remove any oil-based debree or impurities. Next, apply the corresponding phytoactive for your skin type. The phytoactive contains precious herbal essences to provide extra water-based moisture for the skin.

Phase 2 Oil loves water.
Wet your hands and gently massage the HY-ÖL® & phytoactive into the skin to form a creamy, white mixture that feels like a lotion. This cobmination of active ingredients & massaging action is what lifts any water-based debree or impurities. Rinse off with plenty of cool water. Your skin is now optimally prepared for any subsequent skincare treatments.
